Some people know that I was a Shakespeare fanatic in middle school and high school. I loved reading his plays and was lucky enough to play Viola in my high school's production of Twelfth Night. It is by far my favorite of his plays, with strong female characters, laughter, and some very tender moments (cue the reuniting of Sebastian and Viola).
I was so lucky to go see Portland Center Stage's version tonight with my friend Matt. It was wonderful and I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone in Portland to see it. They are also staging The Beard of Avon (which is the behind-the-scenes version of the play, discussing the conspiracy theory of who really wrote the plays of Shakespeare). I'm very excited!
