Know your city - Nob Hill walk

We recently took a tour of Nob Hill, one of the neighborhoods in Portland. The tour was through Know Your City and was guided by Laura Foster (Portland Hill Walks is a great book). It was a great tour and I'm looking forward to doing another one. Here are some highlights of the walk.

:: A historic building that was a community meeting hall for the Swedish community. I've passed this building a hundred times and never noticed it before! ::

:: On the way back down the hill, this is a rose bush that was planted in the early 1900s. The city encouraged residents to plant roses in the median to help promote the "City of Roses" ::
