Craft room update

This is the state of the craft room as we speak.

Painted, yes. Decorated, no.

I do have my IKEA wish list written up (ok, so maybe I have several wish lists - one is more practical than the others). And I have started thinking about some ways to work crafting back into my schedule a bit more. Something about summer just drains the energy right out of me. Must be the warmth (I'm too used to Oregon).

A nice little stool (it came with a mate). All ready for me to recover and paint (as soon as I am done ripping apart old magazines for useful articles - a little moment of silence for the departed Organic Style, which I was a subscriber of its whole life . . . )

My soon-to-be children's corner. My rocking chair and Duck the Goose, one of my favorite childhood toys - handmade by my Grandma.


So, I did pull myself along to finish up one project. The potholders from Lotta Jansdotter's Simple Sewing book. Which were surprisingly more complicated than I expected.


And I thought I needed a new kitchen rug to match . . .
